FAQ

Questions owners and buyers ask

The essentials on viewings, surveys, VAT and selling through Swyn Yachting.

How do I arrange a viewing?

Call or send a message with the yacht you are interested in. Viewings are by appointment in Breskens or wherever the yacht is lying, most days including weekends.

Can I have the yacht surveyed before buying?

Yes, and we recommend it. Once an offer is accepted subject to survey, we arrange the haul-out and sea trial with an independent surveyor of your choice.

How is VAT status verified?

VAT status is declared by the owner and listed as such. Before contract we request the supporting documents so you can check them yourself.

What does it cost to sell my yacht through you?

The brokerage fee is a percentage of the final sale price, agreed in the mandate before listing. There is no fee if the yacht does not sell.

Do you broker yachts outside the Netherlands?

Yes. Yachts lying in Belgium and northern France are listed regularly, and buyers come from across Europe.
